Great Construction
The Civilization Of Tomorrow
I am going to present to the public the truths about spiritual energy and about spirits and the spiritual world, the results or the fruits of my work which has covered twenty years of effort and all kinds of methods.
Primarily, spiritual energy is something that is so nebulous from the material standpoint there is no way to confirm its existence positively, and therefore it is difficult to make it a material science. However, as stated before, since science is progressing continuously without any pause, I firmly believe that the time will come when spiritual energy or vibration will be grasped scientifically and can be measured with material instruments.
The modern science which is benefiting us a great deal today was first established on the basis of the dream-like imaginations of many pioneers of the past ages; they were finally materialized and are now important parts of science. This is definitely factual. In this sense, too, it is only a matter of time until the existence of spiritual vibrations and spiritual beings will be confirmed and spiritual science will occupy an important place in the overall field of science. However, no matter how earnestly we may try to explain the existence of atmosphere to savage, uncivilized people they will not believe in it. I think this is the same as modern people’s lack of acceptance of the existence of spiritual energy and of spiritual beings, however hard we may try to explain them.
After we have reached a certain level of awareness of the spiritual world, we begin to observe more and start to realize that things are becoming more lucid, that all the seeming fears of contradictions and inconsistencies have disappeared. Not only that, even in criticizing material science we realize that it has become much easier to point out the root-cause of its mistakes. The exertion of such wonderful power is possible because it is truth itself. In this sense, I am sure you can imagine what a great turning point of the world we are going through and what the new civilization will be like when it has fully arrived.
What kind of civilization will begin to be brought about after the great turning point? It will be the start of a spiritual civilization and the beginning of its rapid progress. By the time the relationship between spirit and matter becomes clear to a certain degree in the minds of most people, the progress of the existent civilization will be remarkable. Of course, the time will be after World War is over and the base, the place of its origin will be Japan.
Just as the progress of mechanical civilization has made it possible to grasp the real nature of atmosphere and to make it useful for humanity, by the time mechanical technology has advanced still further it will not be just a dream that spiritual vibrations can be measured and made use of for welfare of humanity.
While I was doing research work on the relationship between the spiritual body and disease, I finally became aware of the true nature of spirit and the relationship between the spirit and body. I was awakened not only to the cause of sickness but to the fact that there is an inseparable connection between the spiritual world and the physical plane, even in the changes of all phenomena—the constant flux of all things. However, since the chief aim of this book is to tell how to solve disease I am going to advance my writing along that line.
I have succeeded in bringing spiritual science into practical use, making it possible to exert miraculous power for the enhancement of human health; the result of this is our Johrei. I am only a little bit ahead of the discoveries of material science.
