I Earnestly Desire

     I want everyone to know and understand everything I am presently undertaking. If everyone knew what I am doing, they would not want to censure and attack me. If there were those who knew everything and still their doubts were not dispelled, they would be nothing more than either mentally ill or else involved in harassment for blackmail. I can state so because I have the utmost confidence in myself. Neither do I have the slightest sense of a moral superiority or stubbornness based on claims to divine possession that most religionists have. By my hands, not only have the people who number in the myriads forsaken by doctors, who had had all sorts of diseases, who were crying in the anguish at the very bottom of despair and suffering become joyful to have recovered completely, restored to health and able to return to their work before sickness with peace of mind, they also discover that in some way psychologically, they are better than they were before falling sick. This is a fact without exception. All readers are probably aware that in the ever-increasing numbers of testimonials, so many that we are not able to publish them all, carried in our periodicals, are actual examples such as where families shrouded in dark clouds become bright and clear, juvenile delinquents and other misbehaving children turn into model citizens, and quarreling families grow harmonious.
     There should be no need to state anew how greatly is needed a powerful force of salvation from the dark side of a Japan whose people who are suffering in the midst of that such as deterioration of thought, inundation of sick, and increase in crime.
     Those who misunderstand World Messianity and heap abuse upon us have not actually studied or researched World Messianity seriously; what they have to say is nothing other than conjecture and speculation. Therefore, even people such as these should be able to confirm for themselves when they join World Messianity. If there may be circumstances that do not permit them to join World Messianity, they are encouraged to read World Messianity’s newspaper, magazine, and other publications. Doing such by itself should be enough to dispel most doubts. In addition to the religious salvation outlined above, World Messianity is also currently engaged in projects that have not been traditionally undertaken by religious organizations such as sightseeing enterprises and facilities for the introduction abroad of Japanese art. With the completion of these projects in just a few years, not merely Japan but the whole world greatly expects an epoch-making artistic project that will be highly recognized. Of course, this is the concept of a model for paradise on earth, and I firmly believe that this is the perfect project for regaining the trust that Japan forfeited in its war of aggression.
     As described above, World Messianity is continuing to advance the improvement of the health of the Japanese people, helping to turn people’s hearts to virtue, reducing crime, as well as increasing harvests through the revolution of Japanese agriculture, in addition to conducting tourist projects by encouraging visitors from abroad, undertaking activities not conceived of by most others, and promoting the welfare and happiness of the general public. Therefore, when the preceding is understood and recognized, even if the desire to help does not arise, at least the urge to criticize World Messianity as a heretical religion should dissipate. To put it briefly, our work is nothing other than for the benefit of readers. To expand on this significance, we would ask that readers wait several years or so. At that time, there will be results that should be the cause for rejoicing, and, as well as raising the trust of the Japanese people, I do not hesitate to declare that there will probably be the day when Japan is highly acclaimed by foreign countries for contributing to a peaceful civilization.
     I repeat, it is sufficient that my work be looked upon broadmindedly with a frank and open mind. For the Japanese people, that is what I earnestly desire.
