Expansion of the Hikari Newspaper,
Strengthening of Missionary Efforts

     The Japan Kannon Church publishes the newspaper Hikari as its only organ for promotion. Six months have passed since the inaugural issue in March of this year, and in a recent survey of the newspaper’s performance during this period, it was found that the training centers which are expanding are those that put great emphasis on distributing Hikari. Of course, these branches circulate to their utmost ability free of charge the newspaper for promotion. In other words, promoting through the newspaper is earnestly undertaken. This earnestness is the basis for their expansion.
     There should no need at this point to say that the power of the printed word for any enterprise in the present day truly shows tremendous results.
