The Name “World Messianity”

     It is extremely gratifying that Mr. Seikun Matsui, who is affiliated with our Publications Department, has written on the basis of his extensive knowledge a detailed explanation of Messiah for the next issue. I am sure many of our readers would like to know about the origins of Messiah. I myself have learned some new things from his article, so you may think it was rash of me to have named on such flimsy grounds our new organization World Messianity, but here I would like to discuss the reason for the name.
     I am always telling all who will listen that I am manifesting concretely on the physical plane the revelations I have received from God, and naming our unified organization World Messianity was also based on divine revelation. In writing, the Chinese ideograms that are pronounced kyûsei in Japanese are used to express the concept of “salvation of the world.” However, using the Japanese pronunciation of these ideograms would have limited our scope to the East. In order to save humanity in its entirety, expressing “salvation of the world” in a form that is appropriate for all people on the earth is necessary. For that reason, the Japanese phonetic letters for “Messiah” have been added to the ideograms for “salvation of the world” to show that the Chinese ideograms for “salvation of the world” should be pronounced as “Messiah.”
     So, you can see that the “Messiah” in our name only means “salvation of the world” (kyûsei). It has no other meaning than being appropriate for our future activities. Some may say that because World Messianity is a name that seems to have a connection with Christianity, we are being opportunistic in an age when the Japanese have lost their moral compass and are fascinated by all things from the West, but as you can see such is not the case at all.
