Great Construction
An Actual Example of the Error of Vaccines
(The Divinely-Inspired Approach to Health)
The following letter with the title, “Vaccine Error” appeared in the Readers’ Corner column of the September 21, 1949, issue of the Mainichi Shinbun newspaper.
“A group of parents and guardians from Iwagasaki Village, Kurihara County of Miyagi Prefecture, as victims of the Whooping Cough Vaccine Incident, appeals to the people of the world. In November of last year an advisory from the village government stated that a whooping cough vaccination program would be undertaken. Parents very much desire their children’s happiness and welfare and all followed the advisory faithfully. However, who would have even thought that of those children squarely in the midst of their physical development, sixty-four of them appear to have been injected with tubercle bacillus.
“In the beginning stages, the spot of injection putrefied, and most parents thought it was a temporary side effect of the drug that would soon go away, but at the end of January this year, everyone got goose pimples when it was discovered that this spot was the dreaded tuberculosis. Luckily, with the compassion of the Occupation Forces Headquarters and the kindness of the agencies concerned, all affected were hospitalized for treatment at the beginning of March. Of that number, one victim lost precious life. Parents’ unease reached a peak, and for one family there was no celebrating at the beginning of the year. On August 2, apart from three serious cases, all were discharged to recuperate at home. Half of those discharged, however, are receiving free surgical treatment for tuberculosis of the abdominal lymph glands.
“This recuperation demands the deep love of the parents and more than a sufficient amount of nutritious intake, so we run into another big wall. Fortunately, up until now, we have received some assistance, but the situation is that entire households are falling apart because long-term recuperation has taken a toll on household finances.
“We continued to appeal for assistance for our suffering to governments of the village, prefecture, and even to the national government, but all we have heard is, ‘We cannot do anything until the cause of this incident is clarified in the near future and are made clear who are the responsible parties.’ Of course, we want to know who is responsible for this suffering, but it is an unshakable fact that preventive vaccinations were the causes of this misery. I would like to ask the Minister of Welfare if it is not a great issue from the humanitarian point of view to help the unfortunate people who have met with this tragedy? Yoshio Mori, Representative, Association of Children and Parents of the Whooping Cough Preventative Vaccination Error in Miyagi Prefecture”
Regarding the vaccinations described above, there are probably no grounds to doubt that the cause of the tragedy is one of the following three reasons. One, the injecting needle was not properly disinfected. Two, something was wrong with the medicine itself. Three, tubercle bacillus became mixed with the medicine. In any case, that the needle was deficient in disinfectant is unimaginable. With two or three individuals, such could very well happen, but with the large number of sixty-four persons, tubercle bacillus becoming mixed in with the vaccination due to insufficient disinfection is difficult to accept. Neither is there any reason why there should be anything wrong with the medicine itself. Whatever the medicine, due to the medicinal toxins it contains, it should not present with the same symptoms as tuberculosis. If there is no way in which tubercle bacillus could become mixed with the vaccination medicine, there is no way to understand the origin of this tragedy, so it is an account that causes extreme unease and anxiety. If the true cause could be clarified, counter measures could be contemplated, but otherwise, of the situation it cannot be said that there is no danger. In such a case, there is probably no parent who would allow their precious child to be vaccinated. For that reason, it is appropriate that administration of the vaccinations be halted, research should be conducted completely and entirely from the beginning, and when the guarantee that there is absolutely no danger can be made, preventive vaccinations can be conducted. The fact that there are various kinds of vaccinations which can lead to collective harm is a good reason to always be vigilant and stay informed. I often hear of people who are afraid of side effects and the harm caused by vaccinations and who refuse them but who are still physically forced by the authorities to undergo vaccination.
We hope that a sound policy will be formulated about the problem of preventive vaccinations, and that research is conducted so that the harm from injections will not lead to the sacrifice of any more human beings.
