Ninety-nine Versus One Percent

     This essay is a chapter from Creation of Civilization.

     As described in the previous chapter, the origin of conflict is the very evil that lies within human beings. I also pointed out that the essential nature of evil is an expression of the will of an animal spirit, which is more than clear from the animalistic behavior of evil. Predominate among animal spirits are of course those of the beasts, and next come those of birds, and rarely, the spirits of insects and fish, but as they all have a need to control human wants and desires, and since God created human beings in this manner, it is a necessary evil. The animal spirit, however, through the spiritual cord is connected to and manipulated by the masterminds of the evil forces. The world of evil also consists of levels and the spiritual level of the human being by affinity determines the level of the animal spirit that possesses. From top to bottom, each level differs, so the world of evil is structured in the same manner as the world of right and divine.
     Thus, since primitive times humanity has continued, alternating between heights of good and heights of evil in the thousands and millions of years that have passed, and during this period, the power of evil has of course been strong, so even though the forces of good were liable to be pressured, in the end evil was defeated and good did win as is well-demonstrated by history. If evil had won, all would have been destroyed and the world as we know it today would be unimaginable. Until now, however, time has been on the side of evil to a certain extent, because it is the world of night. Of course, night is darkness itself and, as there lacked the light to control evil, the situation was unavoidable. As shown above, even evil has been used to fulfill various purposes so far, and because evil has continued to predominate for so long, human beings who saw this were deluded into believing that evil was the short cut to success and also that they could make others follow them on their path of evil, so evil rapidly infected the general populace, even becoming the common sense of this world.
     A survey of history makes clear that even if evil appears to be successful for a while, it eventually fails, and most of the instances of these failures are now only indifferent relics. It may be said, therefore, that history is nothing but the record of the continuous alternation of the successes by evil and the failures by evil. As discussed above, the power of evil has become strong during the age of night, so not few are the good who were sacrificed. Especially so in the field of religion where the greatest sacrifice was Jesus Christ. I do not know how much I would have had to suffer if I had been born in those times, but as I teach night has now ended and we are at the beginning stages of the period of dawn, so our sufferings are lessened and advances are being accomplished according to plan.
     What here deserves attention is the point that the plans and behavior of the evil forces are not limited to conflict and violence alone. In all fields, evil has proceeded under schemes of the utmost intricacy and profundity. Among these intrigues, the most successful has been material science, their most formidable weapon, through which humanity has been provided with wonderful blessings that were to be found trustworthy for utilization until evil was able to obtain absolute power, which has been their plan. The aim of that plan is the control of human life, for which purpose evil has advanced present-day medical science. The healing of infirmities has been sought through completely materialistic methods. As much as conditions appear to be healed on the surface, healing is not effected internally, despite the fact that efforts ingeniously exercised by intelligence are expended in every possible way. These methods include instruments, radiation, and surgical operations that are based on intricate theories about pathology. Until the present, no one has been able to see through to this truth. Therefore, when a person became sick and made inquiries about the cause of the disease, appropriate answers could not be given and ambiguous responses were perfunctorily made. Questions about the prognoses for recovery as well were always answered in probabilities, with definite statements not possible. Even if a declaration were made, eight or nine in ten were inconsistent, instances that medical practitioners probably experience habitually.
     My next topic is the relationship between evil and foodstuffs. As with medical science, sources for the food supply have come to be formed by methods based on material science, specifically chemically synthesized fertilizers. The use of fertilizers temporarily showed good results in the beginning and human beings were deceived to the point that the way of thinking that fertilizers are beneficial has spread to all peoples. I will discuss this issue in detail in a separate chapter.
     Next, conflict, through which as I previously described, ambitious individuals with ability in each age have sacrificed many people in their schemes to attain supremacy, but these also are all short-lived successes that ended only as dreams. In the end, the overly ambitious certainly fail, to remain only as tales in history.
     Above I have explored the general aspects of evil, and from this explanation, it is clear that the time has arrived for a settlement of the accounts of material civilization. At present, when the aims of the evil forces are only one step away from being fulfilled, God is clarifying through me the truth. When my appearance now at such a critical time is deeply pondered, the profundity and intricacy of the Almighty’s plan certainly contains elements that are truly beyond all conjecture. Looking at the issue in a different sense, divine power is absolute, and the power of evil is ninety-nine percent, so divine power wins by one percent. This one percent of power is effortless and is the very power of the jewel of Cinatami, so one of my fundamental teachings holds that, at the point of ninety-nine percent, contemporary civilization will undergo a changeover, that which Jesus Christ called the end of the world. Now is also the time, therefore, when in the spiritual world is inevitably occurring a heaven-shaking change, and those who can believe will become eternally happy.
     One unique aspect of evil’s plan has been modern science, so a revolution in medical science will naturally occur. What will take the place of medical science is the Johrei of World Messianity. There should be no need to dwell at length on the fact that even though not few are those who know that doctors with years of specialized training can do nothing but let die one after another the ill and diseased, that individuals with only a few days training are given the power to heal. With this power it will not be difficult to eliminate the mistaken points that have accumulated in modern civilization over the centuries.
     The curtain on the civilization of night is closing, the bright sun is appearing, and now is the period of that dawn. Christ said that those who believe would be happy, thus unavoidable it will be that those who do not believe are fated to perish.
