Great Construction

Unqualified Energy

The source for activity of all in creation throughout the universe is indeed the energy of God. The birth, growth, and continual change of all is a manifestation of this energy as well. What moves and brings to a stop all is of course this energy. From animals, human beings included, to germs, all are born through energy and die through energy. In other words, energy itself is what boundlessly and absolutely controls all. To keep on writing in this vein would have no limit so I will stop here, but pursued further, the universe itself is energy. So, I am going to write about energy from each aspect.
To start with an explanation of energy from the aspect of the spirit of Japanese language, the chi of chikara, power or energy in Japanese, is the chi that means “blood.” Blood is spirit. Kara is the kara that means “empty.” “Empty” is the physical or body [karada], so chikara or “energy” is what is born out of the fusion of spirit and body. Then, to analyze the spirit of Japanese language of hito, or person, the hi of hito is spirit, so spirit stops, the to of tomaru, or “stop,” that is, “’spirit,’ or ‘fire’ stops.” Thus, as above, spirit and body match.
Next, to talk about the ideogram for chikara, first the vertical stroke of the ideogram is written, then, the horizontal line is written forming a cross, which is also the ideogram for “ten.” From the end of the horizontal line, a short tail pointing upward is added. The ideogram means that the activities of vertical and horizontal are connected, activity commenced, and that “lead with left, withdraw with right” rotation starts. This is the activity of energy. As I always teach, you can see how the spirit of Japanese language and letters were also created by God.
Finally, let me explain from the practical aspects. In its greatest sense, I am referring to the world’s two great thoughts or ideologies. Of course, these are the thought of materialism and that of theism, that is, physical culture and spiritual culture. When they are observed in religious terms, and I write in a way that is easiest to understand, the manifestations of these two great thoughts are Buddhism and Christianity. Buddhism is Far Eastern and vertical, spirit, and conversely, Christianity is Western, horizontal, body, all of which is as I frequently explain. However, because in the world until the present the vertical and the horizontal have remained separate, true energy could not manifest. The ultimate evidence for this assertion is that because world harmony and unification could not be attained, humanity was not saved.
With regard to harmony, unification, and salvation, let us look at history. After the primitive ages, when was born the period that human beings were able to start living lives that were somewhat human, at first was worshiped the sun, then natural objects, and then articles which human beings had fashioned were the objects of worship. Finally, as human beings came to be worshiped, there appeared in each geographical region the beginnings of primitive religions. Next, in the early stages of civilization was born Buddhism, Islam, and Christianity. The basis of both Buddhism and Islam is the vertical, so naturally true energy did not manifest, and as the basis of Christianity is horizontal, again true energy was not manifested. Ultimately, the first two inclined to the vertical, so even if they did not end in failure, Buddhism ended up lasting on the surface in Japan only, and Islam is solidified in traditional form in one part of Asia. And, since Christianity is horizontal, although it has spread to most part the worlds of, not only has the goal of heaven not been realized, it could be said that it was also a failure because hell persists to a great degree at present.
As described above, the major religions until today have taken, needless to say, as their goal the realization of an ideal world, but as we now see, the pitiful aspects of confusion and suffering in society show how the world differs from expectations. The dream of the realization of the ideal world is inevitably still far away. Undeniably the reason for this situation is that energy was insufficient, and the reason there was not enough energy is, as I said in the beginning, vertical and horizontal had not been joined. In the end, though, joining the two was only a matter of timing, and in divine economy, unavoidable.
From this point, as I describe my mission, the meaning of what I have just written becomes clearer. The center of the work I am now managing is the expansion and growth of Johrei. Believers are only too aware of this, but just by putting into a packet and hanging around the neck a piece of paper on which I have inscribed with writing, the wearer is given energy to completely heal those with intractable diseases who have been forsaken by medical doctors. I have written ten of thousands of these papers thus far, so many that I cannot count, but no matter the amount I have written and that are actually used, the strength of the energy does not change. As well as physical diseases, how intriguing is the state where continuing to increase in countless miracles is the joy of those living lives that see improvement of mental state; heightening of character; at times, salvation by a whisker from danger; and so forth. This very energy manifests from the packets that contain the letters I write. I do not dare to be boastful about my work, but as the facts are nonetheless facts, I would not mind if my work were publicized. It is needless to state that I have no predecessors in my administration of this great energy, and there is an endless number of miracles published in testimonials, so there should be no doubt about them. This very energy is the energy that was born to join vertical and horizontal, and it is this very energy that is called in Buddhist terms, the energy of Kannon, or mystic energy, and in Christian terms, the energy of Messiah. This energy is spirit which is predominate and in time will manifest physically, so at the dawn of that manifestation will be joined the spiritual culture of the east and the material culture of the west to form true culture, the goal of God. This is divine will that becomes the accomplishment of a great task of salvation which the world has not yet seen.
