ON CANCER

　　In the preceding issue, our fellow believer Bunji Tatematsu staying in the U.S. reported that the disease that American people fear the most is cancer, so I will write about the source of this disease. The causal agent of cancer is very simple; it is toxins accumulated by meat-eating. You also should understand this fact by observing that those who are most likely to suffer from this disease are not the young but the middle-aged and older. Therefore, in order to be immune to the cancer you should eat a lot of vegetables. As I have written before, it is the best for a human being to have equal quantities of meat and vegetables. The reason is that meat is Yang as food, while vegetable is Yin [yang and yin is the metaphysical concept of polarity in Chinese traditional philosophy; yin-yang represents the dual qualities complementary rather than mutually exclusive, so they cannot exist without each other, e.g. passive-active, shade-light, winter-summer, water-fire, tender-tough, feminine-masculine, plant-animal, etc.]; accordingly, to eat either of them excessively and disproportionately is go against the laws of nature. Therefore, if you should contract cancer, you must switch to a vegetable diet as soon as possible, and you will surely be cured even though it might take a long time.

　　However, I give you a warning here: if, having contracted this disease, you take medicines or receive radium treatment, it is all the worse likely that you will never be cured, so I cannot answer for such a case by any means. Therefore, if you do not have any medical treatment, you will sure be cured and need not worry at all.

　　In addition, let me write about other diseases prevailing in America. Besides cancer, people have been suffering from polio for some time, but this is false polio and the true cause of the case is that injection drugs and other medicines get hard in legs. In order to cure this condition, there are no other remedies than Johrei, but for now, since it is impossible to practice Johrei in this country, as the second best, when they first leave it to the process of nature, it will be cured by natural purification though gradually, so they have no choice but to do this way. However, not knowing this, they complicate it by undergoing medical treatment, so that it becomes an incurable disease for life. And the next to be mentioned is tuberculosis. With regard to this disease, I will soon publish "Faith Cure for Tuberculosis" and distribute it also in the U.S., so whoever reads this book would be saved. Fortunately, since the mentality of the American people is progressive not sticking stubbornly to conventional theories, they will be able to recognize my account earlier than expected.
