     The greatest cause of pain in the teeth nowadays are the disinfectants habitually used when the cavities in teeth are filled with materials such as gold or amalgam. These disinfectants are harmful. Disinfectants harm because as time passes after application, they putrefy and become a form of toxin. Seeking discharge, these toxins permeate the roots of the teeth where they make holes as they seek discharge through the flesh. Doctors call the severe pain that results periodontitis.
     If disinfectants are not used at all, the teeth will never hurt whatever they are filled with. The drugs used to disinfect the teeth should not be thought of as “dis-infectants” but as “hyper-infectants,” and I want dentists in general practice to know this fact. Best of all, though, try it yourself and you will see.
