Great Construction

The Birth of the New World

World Messianity is not a religion: that religion is only a part of World Messianity is a point I continually stress, but to answer the question of what would be an apt name for my work, I do believe that as is implied in the title, New World Construction Project would be fitting. This name, however, seems like that on the sign board for the establishment of a carpenter or a builder, so, for the present, it is probably unavoidable that we call it World Messianity. To continue, the program of World Messianity is to make parallel materialistic science of the present and spiritual science, and on this new basis, strive to promote the progress of culture. As all readers are well aware, material science has developed rapidly until now and that progress continues. In contrast, religion, which is spiritual culture, has been as the turtle to the hare. Religions remain as they were at the time of their birth hundreds and thousands of years ago when culture was still in its infancy, and because hardly any progress has been made, a great distance has come to separate the two fields.
As a result of this lopsidedness, the state of the contemporary world has come to be that nowadays only material science is taken into consideration, and the subject of spirit has become so far removed that it receives no attention. Spirit is ignored, and only science is taken to be the entirety of culture. Human beings kneel before their king who is science and are content to be its slaves. In the midst of all this, even precious human lives are entrusted to the hands of science. In spite of the fact that science cannot guarantee human life, however, this misplaced trust is not perceived in the way that human beings think today, and science continues to be blindly trusted. It is because of this blindness that God has taken pity on the ignorance and presently has me teaching of this error for which I have been pointing out the facts that human life does not belong to the realm of substance, that although life may not be visible to the eye, it has a stern and solemn reality which belongs under the control of God. These facts are born out by the record that those who have been pronounced incurable by materialistic medical science are continually and increasingly being saved by divine power. The salvation of these individuals are the greatest proof of God’s teaching.
One aspect of this discussion that deserves attention is why such a great and serious issue as life has not been made clear until now. Such a question is not unreasonable. Something that comes to mind is that to first bring the advancement of a scientific culture to a certain level was necessary. This age of materialistic civilization has been a temporary phenomenon, a period of transition which is part of the economy of God. God will correct the excesses of this period as well as distinguish and clarify the fields of material science from those of spiritual science on which basis the two fields will advance and develop together. From this development will be born the true civilization. To put it briefly, the ending of the old, contemporary world is beginning, to be followed by the construction of a new world, so it would be fair to say that my role is that of midwife for this birth.
