Religion and Hospitals

     As I am often asked about the topic of religion and hospitals, I will write about it now. Most of the present well-known religions appear to operate their own hospitals or else are in the planning stages of building one. Since World Messianity does not build hospitals, there must be quite a few in the general populace who are perplexed by this, but there is a good reason.
     The Johrei healing method of World Messianity overwhelmingly surpasses current medical practice therapies, so we have no need for hospitals. I teach that the position of religion in general should be quite above the level of material science, and it is for this that religion is so valuable. If practice does not accompany teaching and consists only of form, the religion could be called only a kind of high-pressure salesmanship for ideas. World Messianity does not depend merely on ideas, but is advancing in the real world as well. I would particularly like to stress the point that if science really had more power to save human life than religion, it is only natural that religion would be on a level below science, and the atheistic viewpoint could not be criticized. The atheist has sufficient grounds for that belief because religion has only been able to rely on wishy-washy methods such as theology, preaching, and prayer and has become quite estranged from actual daily life. That intellectuals and the educated have considered religion worse than useless was inevitable, and this situation is really a sin committed by religion.
     The truth of the matter is, though, that there is a very important reason for this state of affairs that has remained hidden. The fundamentals must be explained in spiritual terms, so I invite the reader to consider my explanation with this in mind. Whether Christianity or any of the many other currently viable religions or their various sects and denominations, faiths must have been quite able to heal diseases and have experienced miracles on many levels when first established. If not, these religions would not have developed nor would they have continued until the present to grow. In the memory of my generation are the many instances of healing among the new religions in Japan, starting those of the Tenrikyo Church, which was founded at the end of the Tokugawa period, and of many others, which continued through modern times until the 1920s., These religions, however, are all constructing their own hospitals these days. One may call it a sign of the times, but the true cause is that they have become unable to heal disease. The followers and leaders of these religions are not insensible to this phenomenon, but they do not understand why it is so. They have had no choice but to establish hospitals.
     For a long period, the world has been in night, in darkness, and human beings were not able to truly understand the world of spirit. The time has come, however, and the change from night to day has started. The dawn in the spiritual world began on June 15, 1935, as I have written elsewhere, and gradually our world is changing to daylight. As one sign of this transition, religions that have existed for some time have gradually become unable to heal. This is because these religions were methods of salvation for the age of night and were under the protection of the god of the moon. Because the light of the moon is rather weak for the healing of diseases, it was difficult for the light of the moon to demonstrate results above a certain level. This situation has changed completely with the appearance of World Messianity. World Messianity is a religion of the day under the protection of the god of the sun. The energy of the sun is sixty times that of the moon, with results of healing unheard of until now in the long history of humankind. The light of the moon grows faint and disappears as the sun grows brighter, so the efficacy of World Messianity’s healing power grows each year. Miracles continue, and reports are frequently received of healings that equal those of Jesus Christ. From all these signs, there is no doubt that the spiritual world is turning from night to day, that the spirit of fire is increasing, and that purificatory power is strengthening.
     The influence of this phenomenon is not limited to religion, moreover, but extends to medical science as well. Recently doctors have been heard to say that they are surprised that medicines that used to be efficacious, do not work at all these days. We, however, know why. As the spirit of fire increases in intensity, medicines which are used by medical science to solidify the toxins seeking elimination are not able to harden toxins as before. The energy to dissolve impurities has grown stronger. Medicine will temporarily be efficacious as its toxicity is increased to cope. Thus the recent appearance on the market of a continuous rush of new medicines. As the intensity of purificatory power continually becomes stronger, however, the efficacy of even the most powerful medicine will disappear and medical science will reach a crisis stage of great proportions. At this point medical science will have no choice but to bow before the Johrei of World Messianity. The same will be true for the hospitals sponsored by religious organizations. Even without prophecy, the emergence of this trend is now all too clear.
