ORIGINATION OF BACTERIA

　　If tuberculosis bacteria generate spontaneously, as I have mentioned in the previous chapter, then, where and by what process do they generate? I will write about this problem theoretically just like physics and psychology so that everyone can simply understand. To do this, however, is not easy because, for one thing, the object of my study is an invisible spirit, which nobody until now has attempted to adopt as an object of science. The reason may be that this kind of study is difficult to base on facts, but I make public a theory which is founded on the facts. Therefore, no matter how strongly they oppose my theory with materialistic science, it is impossible to defeat it.

　　Regarding this point, what you need to know in advance is the basic formation of the world. Even so highly developed contemporary science has not yet advanced as far as to clarify this domain of science, whereas I am going to the point of explaining it comprehensively, so if you calm yourself down and keep attentive to read carefully these descriptions of mine, no matter who or what you might be, you would be surprised to know the greatness of this discovery of mine, and at the same time, cannot but awake to the grave error in medicine. Now, to begin with, as regards the formation of this world, it consists of three stages: one is the first dimension of material world, another is the second dimension of aerial world, and the other is the third dimension of spirit world. However, science until now has recognized only the first and the second worlds, so the modern science has a fatal defect in that it has been built on the basis of only those two worlds. That is because this third dimension of the world, which is unknown to the existing science, is in reality the very source of the power of all things and every aspect in the universe, and everything, by virtue of this power, comes into existence, grows, and continues to infinitely develop. However, the scientists who are ignorant of this real existence believe that contemporary science has the ability to work out all problems, so they overestimate the capacity of science, which is totally mistaken and has caused people to deny the existence of the third dimension of spirit world, and has made up such deformity as today's medicine. Accordingly, as I have explained in various ways, medicine only suppresses the symptoms which have come out as diseases and cannot cure them to the root, and thus, tuberculosis will never stop spreading. 　

　　Given that medicine has digressed from the fundamentals as mentioned above, the further it goes ahead, the more it digresses into a maze of puzzles and sticks to trivial details, so that it has attributed the origin of disease all to bacteria. The evidence is that an attempt to cure a disease A caused other diseases B and C to occur, so the disease has only been transformed into the other diseases. These are secondary diseases. Now, let me advance the point a step further. How can we comprehend the connection between the above-mentioned spiritual world and a human? Of course, even a human being exists in each of the above-mentioned stages, and so the physical body is material, and the aquatic element is also categorized into aerial substance which is a kind of material, while the other element, that is to say, invisible spirit is the very essence of a human being and the source of disease lies in it. However, materialistic medical science considers disease to only occur within the physical body and ascribes the origination of disease wholly to the material body. Thus, medicine insists on the external theory of enemy, as it were, which claims disease occurs through virus-invasion from outside, while we advocate the internal theory of enemy or the theory of spontaneous generation of bacteria, which is opposed to the theory of infection claimed by medical science. However, the external theory is easy to follow because of its mechanical explanation but the internal theory is not so easy to grasp, and this is why people have fallen into such an absurd fallacy as we see today. Let me explain about this in due order.

　　Now the question is: what exactly is the human spirit? Scientifically speaking, it has high degree of substantiality and ultra-subtlety, and is composed of super-submicron particles which are so infinitesimal that we can never see them by any means, even by today's highly advanced electron or atomic microscope. However, because these particles are the very essence of a human being as mentioned above, they are so mystical, subtle and profound as to surpass all imagination. In this manner, the initiation of the source of disease occurs as clouds all over the spirit or at a part of it. There are two sorts of causes that induce these clouds. One cause is filth that derives from sin committed by a human being, and the other is medical poison. As to the former, the idea of the filth of sin is, of course, based on the cause-and-effect explanation that the wrongdoing, such as afflicting others or doing harm to the society, makes sin and the sin produces filth, while the latter, the medical poison is a combination of the innate and the acquired, which is to be explained elsewhere, and here, let me describe about the clouds themselves. The nature of clouds in the spirit is just like clouds in the air; it is, so to speak, aggregation of spiritual elements of water. The spiritual clouds divide into two types; impure and pure. The latter is very well; it's like cirrocumulus clouds or stratus in a fine sky, but in case of the former, the impure type of clouds must, sooner or later, be swept away by wind and rain, as occurs in a cloudy sky. This is a self-purification process of the earth as a heavenly sphere and although human disease is likewise the self-purification, medicine, not knowing the true function of disease, suspends the beneficial process of self-purification; so, these clouds of impurity gradually increase their density, and then, some kinds of bacteria originate. These are like inorganic vegetative matter, and in due course, gradually grow, and finally change into organic matter. This organic matter is none other than the seeds of bacteria, and after a time, when these seeds or eggs grow up to be adults and have individuality, they get large enough to be recognized for the first time through a microscope. If you happen to know this logic of process, you should realize what so-called viruses are. More specifically, since viruses are the babies of bacteria that have yet to be parents as mentioned above, they cannot be seen through a standard microscope, but they certainly grow to be parents and become bacteria. Even existent science acknowledges this.

　　For these reasons, it is evident that in order to cure diseases completely, there is no true cure except clearing away the spiritual clouds which are such sources of bacteria as above explained. If this is the case, you will be able to realize that this principle of complete cure of disease is truly far beyond the standard of contemporary science. Then, how can the clouds be removed? Since I have been taught the concrete method by God, and at the same time, given the power to do this, I am now producing remarkable results, as you see in the appendix of this book [omitted]. I have just written about disease pushing forward to the pathological basis, as set forth above, and I would rather explain still deeper; if I do this, however, I may possibly go into the realm of religion and the explanation would be hard for third-party people to receive, so I will try here to make an explanation as easy to understand scientifically as possible.

　　Let me explain how the clouds are dissipated. The moment when a practitioner of this method (Johrei) holds out his or her hand toward the diseased part of a patient, lightwave of some kind are radiated from the palm of the practitioner. Well then, what is this lightwave? To put it simply, that is spirit of the sun and I named it the spiritual element of fire. This is because the essence of aerial substance is water spirit or the spirit of water, while the essence of spiritual substance is spiritual element of fire; of course, the spiritual element of fire is certainly a kind of fire, but what a human being can see with his or her eyes and feel hot is the physical element or the body of fire spirit, while the above-mentioned spiritual element of fire is the spirit of fire. When this fire spirit is radiated to the clouds of human spirit, only the impure elements of the clouds are burned away and the resultant elements reduced to ashes, are excluded out of the body as excretory substance; on the other hand, the pure elements of the clouds are mingled into serum and at this moment, the clouds, that is to say, the source of disease has been dispelled.

　　Well then, why can you emanate the fire spirit which has such healing power when you join us as a believer? This is because of the lightwave which is radiated from the token (called Ohikari, which means light) that a believer wears around the neck. This token is my calligraphic letter or letters and has three kinds: "Light", "High-Powered Light", and "Great High-Powered Light." The Divine Spirit of the Lord God (Jehovah) is transmitted to the token using my spiritual body as a relay center and is radiated from this token through the palm of a believer. But even when you listen to this explanation, you cannot possibly believe it right away. On the contrary, some may have an antipathy toward such explanation. They also may regard it as an outrageous fraud because there cannot be such absurdity in the world, which I do not think unreasonable. For there have never been any such meta-physical precedents like this since recorded history. However, the fact is undeniably a fact and one hundred arguments do not make one fact. To put it plainly, the time has finally come when the will of God be made explicit and I have just been charged by God with a great job of the salvation of mankind. It is a revolution of medicine as the first step of human salvation, so if you understand this explanation, you should find that there is no wonder about what I am carrying out at present.

　　As can be seen, the explanation in this chapter sounds very mystical, but it is no mysticism at all. Actually, it is a veritable science. Therefore, if you read this and regard it as mysterious, that is because the level of the contemporary science is still much lower. So it is quite natural that when, in the future, science has advanced up to the level much higher than now, my theory will be easily understood at large. It is not until then that a common ground between science and religion will be found and the true civilization will be born. Today, they say at every opportunity that the end and aim of science lies in the pursuit of truth, but from my stand point, the truth has already been discovered and you will find the description of it in this book.

　　It may be still difficult to believe in even what I have explained so far, but in the first place, what is truth at all? To put it simply, truth is reality itself. For example, that the sun rises in the east, and that a human being is born and dies; these are the reality and the truth. If so, the theory which I have expounded, though mystical it may be, is also neither an ideal nor an absurdity, but a reality itself. I still have a lot more I would like to say, but this should be good enough; otherwise, the subject would gradually move away from the main issue of tuberculosis.
